WINTER PARK, Fla. (May 16, 2013) - Marlow’s Tavern opens its second location in Central Florida with a June opening in Winter Park serving chef-inspired American tavern fare in a comfortable and unique atmosphere. Marlow’s Tavern will open at 1008 S. Orlando Avenue, just north of the intersection of S. Orlando Avenue (17-92) and N. Orange Avenue in the heart of Winter Park offering local residents a great place to create memorable experiences, enjoy chef-driven food and hand-crafted cocktails.

The restaurant features the “best of the best” in classic American tavern fare served in a modern atmosphere. Menus, created by Executive Chef and Co-founder John C. Metz, offer a diverse combination of classic dishes that are updated and elevated to a gourmet level.
The beverage menu includes a wide variety of wines from around the world - all available by the glass - and a hand-crafted cocktail program that combines fresh juices and specialty, small batch liquors in an innovative and approachable way. The beer list is unique and varied, featuring local favorites, craft and import offerings by the bottle and on draft.
Guests who visit Marlow’s Tavern will be welcomed with exceptional, personalized service and immediately feel the sincere and genuine hospitality from the entire team.
Local restaurant industry veteran, Alan Palmieri, was searching for his next career opportunity when he discovered Marlow's Tavern. After retiring from Darden Restaurants, Inc., where he was executive vice president of operations in the Specialty Restaurant Group, Palmieri knew that Marlow’s was what he had been looking for – the perfect neighborhood restaurant to serve his family, friends, and the Orlando community. As a longtime Orlando resident with 38 years of restaurant experience, Palmieri knows that Marlow's Tavern is a perfect fit for the community. Palmieri will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and future development of the Orlando market. Marlow’s Tavern debuted in Florida with a location at Pointe Orlando in October 2012.
“The decision to partner with the Marlow’s Tavern team was an easy one,” says Palmieri. “After working in this industry for my entire career, I have not seen a concept with this much passion around its quality food, creative beverages and attention to developing relationships with the staff, guests and neighborhoods. The restaurant is warm and inviting with exposed brick walls, dark wood accents, large leather booths and communal tables for a timeless look and feel.

Marlow’s Tavern was established in November of 2004 with the opening of its first location in Alpharetta, Georgia. The neighborhood restaurant has soon to be two locations in Florida, the first on International Drive at Pointe Orlando and a new location to open in Winter Park on Orlando Avenue (17-92). Marlow’s Tavern is open for lunch and dinner daily, offering guests classic American tavern fare with an upscale twist.
In every community Marlow’s Tavern serves, it partners with local neighborhood associations and charities to support and give back to the people who have generously supported the local tavern and staff. Marlow’s Tavern Winter Park evokes a sense of community through its continued partnership with non-profit organizations such as the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Proceeds from the grand opening events benefit the Food Bank to begin the restaurant’s year-round commitment as a community partner.
